Why does ICM need money?

“If all of the chaplains, board members, and officers are volunteers, why does ICM need money?”
This is a very reasonable question.
Although ICM is a volunteer organization, we require funding in order to raise the vision of volunteer chaplaincy, recruit, train and coordinate chaplains and support the local chapters. The key emphasis of our budget is:
- Training and Chaplain Materials
- Ministry Support
- Communications
- Administration
ICM supports a National Office which, in turn, provides services to the local Chapters.
- Leadership training
- Chaplaincy training through seminars and materials
- Planting new chapters
- Nurturing and shepherding chapters
- Presentation materials, publicity and printed materials
- Speakers
- Recruitment of chaplains and placement locations
- Identification through business cards, name badges, and jackets
- On-site assistance when a chapter is floundering or has a loss of leadership
- Tax-deductible status for all donations
Any organization that does not provide leadership, assistance, and shepherding of its local chapters will not grow or survive. Therefore, it is necessary to have and support a National Office to further the mission of ICM.
ICM Endowment Fund

Investing in the Future of ICM
An Endowment Fund has been established to help under-gird the long-term financial strength of ICM by providing funds for both current and future needs. Continued growth of the endowment fund will be essential in order for ICM to continue to provide a caring presence to future generations of American workers.
When you make a charitable gift by Dec. 31 to Industrial and Commercial Ministries, Inc., you are entitled to significant tax savings while helping support our mission. The assets you give, whether cash, stock, real estate, etc., will determine your deductions. Restricted gifts through a bequest in a will, trust, annuity or property are also accepted.
Gifts in memory or in honor of an individual are welcome. Please include the name of the honoree or deceased, the name and address of whomever you wish to receive notification, and how you wish your gift to be used (general budget or Endowment Fund). The dollar amount of the gift will not be mentioned in the acknowledgment.
The ICM Endowment Fund is administered by the ICM National Finance Committee, which makes recommendations to the National Board of Directors for authorization of all disbursements.

The Caring Presence Club

In the spring of 2010, ICM’s Board of Directors introduced a new way to support ICM, The Caring Presence Club. With the implementation of this program, contributors are able to help ICM maintain a National Office which provides leadership and chaplaincy training, nurturing and shepherding to Chapters, equipment & materials, and on-site assistance when needed so that ICM Chaplains may continue to be “a caring presence” in the workplace.
The Caring Presence Club consists of individuals who contribute $25.00 per month or a minimum of $300.00 a year, to help ICM remain “a caring presence,” to thousands of working men and women each week.
